We will do this together to get use to using the tools

 

1)   Create a rectangle (primitive tool) with a 14 point green stroke and a custom gradient fill.

2)   Using the rectangular primitive tool draw a green shape with no stroke and has a negative 26 corner radius on all corners. Hint- “The corners are pinched in.”

3)   Draw an octagon with no fill and a 18 point black stroke.

4)   Use the Deco tool to add some roses.

5)   Use the oval tool to create a Pacman like shape with a custom gradient fill and no stroke. (hint oval options start angle)

6)   Use the oval tool to create a doughnut with an orange fill and a 12 point black stroke.(hint oval options inner radius)

7)   Use the spay brush tool to add some red spray paint.

8)   Use the line tool, not the deco tool, to create a black skyscraper like building.

9)   Write your name and class using any font you want and any color.

 

 

 

MOTION ASSIGNMENT 
Purpose:  To show you how to create motion with changing effects.  You will use all of these skills later when you create your other projects.

ASSIGNMENT
You have been hired by a company to create a simple flash animation for a children’s app.  Your assignment is to create:

• 5 different scenes with a different shape (circle, square, rectangle, triangle, star).  Each shape will be in a different scene.

• Write the name of each shape on a separate layer. 

• You will have the shapes fade in and move on to the screen, stop in the middle, move back off out of the scene, and out.

• The color of the object also needs to change throughout the animation.  

• Repeat the process for each shape using a new scene.

• This app would be for 3 to 4 year old children so they can learn their shapes

 

 

DAY INTO NIGHT ASSIGNMENT

Performance
This assignment will be your first performance in Flash.  You will create a two scene animation using motion and classic tweens. Use the default screen size for this project.

 

• Scene 1:  You will create a title page called "Day into Night"  this page must have the title, your name and your class period.  All three phrases must have a motion tween, the words must come on to the screen, change colors, stop for 4 seconds then exit the screen.

• Scene 2:  You will create an outdoor scene, you will use five different layers.

  • Layer 1 the sky - (this will be a box that fills the stage) you will create a color change from blue to black using a classic tween.

  • Layer 2 the scene - (use things like: green hills,, trees, bushes, buildings, grass etc.) this layer will have no tween.

  • Layer 3 the sun - (use the shape tool to create a sun.  Hint - use the shape star tool) this layer will have a classic tween, the sun will be setting)

  • Layer 5 the moon - Create a white/grey moon, create craters, use a classic tween to make the moon rise.

  • Layer 6 the stars - You will create stars and make them twinkle.

1. When you finish with this assignment export the project as a .mov and .swf.  

2. Upload the swf file to your wix page

3. Post the swf on one of your flash pages on your web page, you will have 3 or 4 flash pages.
